My yoga journey started in high school. I would occasionally attend yoga class with my mom. I was struck by the reliable state change I would experience during class. I would arrive feeling one way, and always leave feeling more connected, calm and whole. At this time, I decided I wanted to be able to offer that experience to others one day.

I am so happy to be living my dream of teaching yoga today.

My yoga classes contain the following:

- Combine traditional yoga poses with the latest principles of movement science and biomechanics (expect some updates to yoga poses that make the practice more nourishing and sustainable!).

- Focus on supporting the nervous system and releasing stress through breath work, restorative yoga, guided meditation, and energy work.

- Encourage cultivation of mindfulness and self-compassion, and increase body awareness and the mind-body connection.

Tara McCoy Yoga is a complete rejuvenating body experience.  I have taken many types of yoga classes over the years- but Tara's class is my favorite.  She leaves you feeling rested, stretched, pushed, serene, and complete.  She can easily adapt to different skill levels and modifications, as needed.  Tara's class is a unique blend of various styles that is focused on whole body rejuvenation.  Most importantly, her personality and style are so enjoyable. I can't get enough!

Living up in the mountains gives me the quiet serenity and peace I have been looking for, but I missed my yoga classes.  I was so grateful when Tara started teaching yoga in Wilderness Ranch and Osprey.  I have been practicing yoga for a number of years and have had many instructors.  I can easily say that Tara is an exceptional instructor.  She is extremely knowledgeable and easily makes any modifications that your body may require.  Everyone always feels welcome in her classes, whether you are a beginner or have some experience, as she has such  a calm positive energy.

I find myself scheduling other appointments around Tara's classes, as they are always refreshing and renewing to my mind and body.   I  leave class with a peaceful sense of well-being and my body always says, 'thank you".
